The Linden-Museum Stuttgart – National Museum of Ethnology – is looking to fill a two-year position as Curatorial Assistant to the Africa Department, starting May 1st, 20 17 with an initial one-year contract.
A Higher Education degree in Cultural Anthropology or related field with a focus on Africa is required (Ph.D. preferred but not required) as well as a proven interest in material culture. A fine knowledge of the German language is required and a good knowledge of English and French is highly valued.
Tasks include the participation in all the activities of the Africa Department, assistance in the preparation of the new permanent exhibition (end of 2018) and cooperation with the Departments of Museum Education and Public Relations.
The salary for this position corresponds to 50% of the salary assigned to pay group 13 TV-L level 1.
